This Privacy Policy describes how Sipwise ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Sipwise mobile app. Sipwise is designed to track hydration progress and reminders, with most user data stored locally on your device.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Sipwise stores app data in on-device local storage (AsyncStorage) to provide core functionality. This includes, for example:

  • App settings (such as hydration goal, reminder preferences, quiet hours, and profile fields).
  • Hydration logs you create in the app.
  • Custom shortcut values and quick-tile order.

3. Notifications and Permissions

If you enable reminders, Sipwise requests notification permission from your device operating system. Notification settings (such as sound on/off and reminder cadence) are used to schedule local hydration reminders. You can disable reminders any time from app settings or system settings.

4. What We Do Not Do

Based on the current app implementation, Sipwise does not require account creation and does not sell your personal information. We do not use your hydration logs for advertising or broker your data to third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We do not intentionally share your local hydration records with external third parties through the app's core functionality. If future integrations are introduced, this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove app data by uninstalling Sipwise or clearing app storage through your device settings. Depending on platform support, some data may also be reset from within app settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Sipwise is not directed to children under the age required by local law without parental or guardian supervision. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us and we will review the request.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the app architecture. However, no digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you are responsible for securing access to your own device.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product or legal changes. The "Last updated" date indicates when this document was last revised.
